Seeing the atmosphere against China, Xiaomi put up the banner of Made In India to avoid boycott
Due to the tension on the India-China border, there is an atmosphere against Chinese products in the country. In such a situation, most of the Chinese smartphone companies are scared which have captured the Indian smartphone market. Chinese mobile companies are constantly declaring themselves as Indian. In this episode, China's mobile phone company Xiaomi / Redmi has made changes in its branding. In the past, the company may have said that the China boycott case is limited to online media only, but its steps show that it is also scared of the changed environment in India. The company has put "Made In India" banner outside its Mi Store in Kolkata, so that people do not boycott its products as China-made.
All India Mobile Retailers Assosciation (AIMRA) wrote a letter to all Chinese mobile phone companies to make them aware of the ground truth. In its letter, AIMRA had asked all the companies to allow the retailers to remove the board outside the store or cover it with a banner for a few months.
Want to tell, most of our goods are made in India and we employ thousands of Indians in our factories.
People in Kolkata have a mixed reaction to China's goods. People say that if the product is completely made in India, then they have no problem. But if it is assembled in India by bringing goods from China and then it is being called Made in India, then it is a fraud.
